There's a particular kind of wine that doesn't ask much of you. It doesn't need a special occasion, a decanter, or a hushed moment of contemplation. It just wants you to pull it out of the fridge, find a couple of glasses, and let the afternoon unfold a little more brightly than it would have otherwise.

That's Frizzante.

Our new Grazing Collection Frizzante 2025 is exactly the sort of wine we wanted to make for the way people actually live in Frankland River and beyond - easygoing, a little bit cheeky, and genuinely good fun to drink. It's a sparkling for brunch tables and back-deck gatherings, for "the sun's out, let's open something" moments, and for those evenings when life simply needs a little sparkle.

What's in the glass

Pour it into a flute or a tulip glass (more on that in a second) and the first thing you'll notice is the lift - bright citrus and pear coulis, carried up on bubbles that give your nose a friendly little tickle. Take a sip and it's all green apple and sapodilla: crisp, fresh, and just a touch tropical, with that clean finish that makes the next mouthful feel inevitable.

It's light on its feet without being thin, and it carries just enough character to hold its own alongside food. In short: very easy to like, very hard to put down.

From our vines

Everything that goes into Frizzante is estate-grown, hand-tended fruit from our Frankland River vineyards. The 2025 season did us a real favour - a dry winter and cool spring led into a textbook flowering, and with some carefully controlled irrigation through a warm growing season, the vines repaid us with healthy, plush canopies and beautifully balanced fruit.

We pick early in the morning while the fruit is cool and fresh, ferment it in stainless steel to keep all that bright, primary character intact, and then - in the spirit of the wine - we add a little fizz for extra fun. No fuss, no pretence. Just a well-made sparkling that knows exactly what it's here to do.

When to pour it

Honestly? Whenever the mood strikes. But if you'd like a few suggestions:

• As an aperitif with brunch, when eggs, pastries, and good company are on the menu.
• On a lazy afternoon, when "should we?" turns into "we already have."
• When the boys are having beers - and someone wants something a little brighter in hand.
• Any time life needs a little sparkle

One small tip from us: reach for a flute or a tulip glass rather than a wide coupe. The narrower shape helps preserve those nose-tickling bubbles for longer, so the last sip is as lively as the first.
